Good flowers for wedding hair?

Hi,





I am thinking that when I get married I would like to have real flowers in my hair. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but would anybody know what kinds of flowers would be good for this? Obviously they need to be kind of strong and would need to look nice without being in water for extended periods of time. Any ideas?





I like plumeria, gardenia (perhaps too strong a scent though?), and maybe roses but any other suggestions? Or does anybody know if these are ok to use?

You're on the right track and gardenia wouldn't be too fragrant. A big trend right now is to use one big flower (like a gardenia) on just one side of your head as opposed to a wreath of flowers. It looks more modern but if you wanted to stick to tradition, have a florist show you examples of different styles that he or she can create. Just tell them what kind of flowers you like (plumeria, gardenia and roses) and I'm pretty sure they can design something that you'll absolutely love.





Stephanotis (note that this is a really pricey flower but has a really pretty fragrance and can hold up pretty well), orchids, stargazer lilies and even ranunculus would be really sturdy flowers (along with the ones you mentioned) for headpieces. Best of luck!Good flowers for wedding hair?
I think gardenia would be an amazing choice, and it wouldn't be an overpowering scent.





I really like peonies as well, it's got lots of beautiful full layers, smells light and fresh, and can withstand being in your hair for a couple hours. The stems are nice and strong so it'd be easy to clip with a bobby pin

You should wear amaryllis for a bright, tropical look. A gardenia would be best for a more classic look and stephanotises would look best should you choose to wear your hair down. Small red roses would look their best in a curly updo for a romantic look while a small white orchid would make a soft updo modern and relaxed.
stephanotis would look beautiful in hair whether its an updo or a down style, its a little white flower that looks like a star so you'd need more than one. good luck

any ideas that would be good to do my hair and makeup for a wedding i am in? it's my bf's sister's wedding and i'm not a huge part, i'm just going to be greeting, giving bubbles out and helping. my bf's an usher

Im getting married in a month and i really want to do my own hair but i have no clue how to style it. I just know i want a tiara or a cute hair piec for sure lol. I am not really sure of any sites to show you how to style your hair, but I used theknot.com for everything!





You can look up millions of pictures on every topic from cakes, to hair, to dresses. I got so many ideas from it. All you have to do is register and make a password and you are in. It takes like five minutes.





Also, your hair is one thing that I would definitely spend the money on and have done by someone else. You are going to be stressed out enough that day. I had a hard time w/ that too. It's so hard to find pics w/ veils! The best thing I found was using google images. I found this pic of carrie underwood that I love, since you said your hair is curly and mid-back length it reminded me of this. I think it really depends on the dress. Some dresses look better with up-dos and some look better with it down. There are others that you need part up and part down. If you email or IM me a picture of the dress I can look up do's for you since I have a lot of time on my hands.

if your wearing a vail then i say go very simple, maybe big loose curls. if no vail then you can do a little more with it like a nice swept back bun or or french braid.





just remember that the object of your wedding is to look like you, just a little dolled up. dont do anything that people are going to think ';omg who is that?';. try to use as little hairspray as possible cause a guy likes to comb his hair through a girls hair and not get stuck, haha. and dont do anything that your goin to have to be fussing with all day.

I would curl my hair and have it a half up and half down style.





Sometimes your bride provides the jewlery as a gift. If she does not, ask her what she wants, then ask the bridesmaids, and then from there it's yoru call. With baby blue I would NOT do gold! Silver or pears sounds nice. If you get silver shoes, get silver jewlery, if you get white shoes, get pearls.

well if ur one of meny brides maides then go with heels if that what the rest are doing (if ur short then do heels for sure.)but if your the only one do flats if thats what your more confertable with...





as far as jewlary i would do pearls or SMALL dimands clear (no color!) do a set too. if your necklaless has pearls do pearl earings if it is a small dimand then do small dimand earings. or dangle earnings wih the smaller dimands in them... hair could be up or down if the brides in up id do it down but thats just me... if its a smaller wedding at a park or not very meny guests the just curl it or straitin it and leave it down. hope this helps im sure you will look gorgous eather way! =]
