Wedding HAIR Question: Leaving my hair down, will my hairdresser WASH it?

Does your hairdresser wash your hair if you are going to have it down?Wedding HAIR Question: Leaving my hair down, will my hairdresser WASH it?
Not unless you specifically ask for a wash and blow-dry when you make your appointment.

Most salons are just going to curl/straighten and style your hair. They will also pin in the flowers/adornments if you have them and put on your veil (or show you how to put it on) if you're wearing one. They are not planning on washing/drying. If you need those services, you need to make those plans ahead of time and prepare to pay an additional fee for them.Wedding HAIR Question: Leaving my hair down, will my hairdresser WASH it?
i was told to wash and completely dry my hair the night before... well, that could not happen as we were still finishing up decorating, cooking etc... the day of the wedding ( we married at 6 p.m. ) so, when the sweating was over, i jumped in and did my hair washing directly before the lady came to do our hair....if you hairdresser uses the correct products to do your hair, you should be fine... mine was still the same when i finally hit the bed at 2 am.... our reception / party was still going on... the last person left at 3 am... and the rest ( the ones who could not drive ) stayed the night... i had people everywhere!!! on the sofa, in the upstairs bedrooms.... so, we broke into the alcohol first thing in the morning and had a post reception party that started at 10 am the day after.... it was a great time!
When I got my hair done for prom they told me to wash it ahead of time. However, I have a feeling it's just because they were busy taking care of lots of other girls getting their hair done for prom. Ask them before you go. My guess is that they will, unless for some reason they'd be super busy that day. Call and ask to make sure.
I think it depends upon what you have them do.

A ';style'; is just a ';style'; and they don't wash it.

A ';wash %26amp; style'; means they wash it and then style your hair.

The salon I am dealing with does either one and I have to specify.
The reason they don't wash it, is that freshly washed hair is too soft and difficult to work with. More styling product is needed and the style will typically not last as long. Dirty hair is easier to style and holds longer.
